Ignotus Opening Reception

Minimalist abstract painter Sharon Weiner identifies with many of the postwar American transcendental abstract artists. She creates her work by building up layers of poured acrylic paint and acrylic medium, sanding between each layer. Organic shapes meld into the deep space. The imagery in Weiner’s paintings, which appear to cast a light from within, have a nature- and cosmic-like aspect but are grounded in the non-physical realm of the artist’s consciousness.

Join us on Friday, May 15 from 7-10pm for my Ignotus opening reception at Alan Avery Art Company in Atlanta.
